Ireland: Save it now or loose it for ever!

Hi Everyone... these are truly dark times for Ireland, but there is a glimmer of hope and it all rests with the people of Ireland. The reason we are in this mess is excessive unrestricted capitalism! - it does not work!, it is not fair it punishes the poor and rewards the greedy. I have no objection to a business man or woman making a healthy profit as long as they give back to society through fair tax and other sources. But I do object to people screwing the system, highly paid bankers, Ministers, Public Servants on crazy salaries, and on even crazier pensions all paid by the tax payer!

I do not understand the mentality of this so called Republic, we have no backbone! in France people would have burnt Anglo Irish bank to the ground, and stormed the Dail! What is wrong with us we are being screwed by our National Government and International Finance and we bend over and take it! can I have some more please sir? And what really makes my blood boil ? Who does the Government target to recoup their losses? The Unemployed! the minimum wage, this Government is made up of welathy scum who protect even wealthier scum, why not tax expensive cars?, houses over a million?, luxury items etc, oh no lets fuck over the unemployed and the struggling worker on minimum wage this government and its supporters should be lined up against a wall! and I would be the first in line to take the first shot!

Why oh why are irish People so goddamned defeatist? 80, 000 people took to the streets where were the rest of you? I was there I was proud to be Irish, standing shoulder to shoulder with my fellow clansmen and women, We were standing up for bloody once! How many bury their heads in the Guinness and leave it to the few to fight for their rights? But then we irish are brilliant at avoiding a confrontation take a look at our glorious history.

1798, the gloriuos revolution, a minority crushed by a overwhelming British Army, where were the rest of them? 1916, the brave men and women who survived the Easter Rising were spat upon, as they boarded ships to english ad welsh prisons, but then amazing the English go one step too far in the Executions of the Rebels, and all of a sudden everyone is a staunch Nationalist and in 1918 Sinn Fein wins the election. Oh and the great shame of every Irishman and woman, the Great Abandonment of our own people to apartheid and repression in the North of our country, yes we abandoned our own people left them to fight for their lives against horrendous racism and violence inflicted on them by Unionist policy and the British State. We did'nt want to hear about the so called troubles in the 1970s and 1980s another bomb gone off another Catholic shot dead on the radio over our cornflakes and brown bread, we would prefer to look the other way bury our heads make it go away, not my problem.... At least the Irish in the north had some balls and fought back! and after the revelations from the Bloody Sunday Inquiry the peaceful marches for civil rights were finally crushed by a bullet from a lee enfield rifle. leaving the nationalists with no other choice than the road of war and the full emergence of the Provisional IRA. Then there was the Hunger strikers again a minority marched in protest, but where were the rest of you? Did'nt want to know, nothing changes.
